As I accompanied my younger brother and sister, if I dressed up it was "Aren't you too old for this?" or, if I didn't, "Where's your costume? you should be collecting candy, too." I couldn't win either way, and it became a trial rather than a treat for this shy girl. It was fun again when my kids were little, making costumes, carving pumpkins, and handing out candy, but I'm just as glad now that I'm old(er) that I can ignore the whole thing.<br /><br />That being said, however, I still enjoyed seeing your family's celebrations, and feeling your joy in it all. And as always, your paintings are so filled with life and color that I can't help being lifted up by them. Paint on, my friend! And have a happy November.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
