ReplyDeletefor almost ten years now i have been growing sweeping stands of mexican sunflowers. their colours astound me. copper, burnt orange, mahogany, umber and every holy red imaginable. at the end of summer i collect the dried heads of the most brazen and painstakingly remove their seeds. this insures a vibrant summer next year. sunflowers....you are speaking my language!
